Our bathroom can be pretty important on the outcome of our day.  For most people this where our day begin or ends.  If you need a break from your busy life, you should consider transforming your bathroom into you personal refuge.  It will only take a few steps to create a Zen inspired design.

The first thing you should do is make the floor plan flow smoothly, blending one area to the next.  Simple design is something that is hard to do well.  Zen design uses a lot of decorative architecture and other elements, so consider hiring an architect or interior designer to oversee the project.  Whether you decide to hire a coordinator or take on this project yourself, refer to these tips:
  1. Place your bathtub by a window, to experience nature while soaking.
  2. Make the bathroom interact with adjacent rooms.
  3. Toilet area should not be seen from the doorway.
  4. Place a piece of artwork within viewing area of toilet, let it be focal point from doorway.
  5. Sections should be distinct but not divided.
  6. Combine simplicity, clean lines, fluidity, and functionality.
