Decorating with Glass

Bell Mirror & Glass, Inc.
1702 S. Seneca Street, Wichita, KS 67213

There are many different ways to decorate your home using glass, and fortunately for you, you can call Bell Mirror & Glass for all of your needs.  You can really transform your house into a home using windows, glass art and mirrors.  There are a few things to remember while decorating with glass:
  1. Colors are a very important part to start with.  When decorating with glass you want to first look at what you see out your window, the light that streams in and the curtains or drapes you have around them.  Think of all of these as an extension of the colors you will be decorating with.
  2. Layering adds warmth to a room.  A layer of cloth, will not only add warmth to the material, but will also offer extra layers of images as it reflects off the glass tops.
  3. Never forget that light is color.  Adding lights can bring out color highlights of artwork and other decorations and can also divide a room, creating the illusion of more space.
  4. Encasing important items in glass draws a lot of attention to them.  Display awards or personal achievements that you are proud of in glass enclosures.

Why You Should Have a Frameless Glass Shower

Bell Mirror & Glass, Inc.
1702 S. Seneca Street, Wichita, KS 67213

Is it time for some change in your bathroom?  Bell Mirror & Glass can make and install a custom frameless glass shower for you.  Frameless shower doors convey a clean, modern feel and are aesthetically pleasing.  The beauty of a frameless glass shower is complemented by its versatility, they can be placed in almost any part of the bathroom.  Here are a few tips on how to plan a frameless shower for your bathroom.

A frameless shower can be used to divide a bathroom, placing the shower in the center of the room with the vanities on either side.  This keeps the room open and airy.  Try placing the shower where the light is, like against a window.  This will have a great impact on the visual aspect of the space, this will transform a dim clustered space into a bright wide open bathroom, and create the illusion of extra space.  This is also great for showers that have tile along the wall.  There is no visual separation which will show off the tile art and again make the room look bigger.  For more great ideas on how to position and design your frameless shower door please visit http://goo.gl/MH82nI.

Bell Mirror & Glass can help you create your dream bathroom.  We are proud to provide custom shower enclosures to fit your needs. Shower doors have changed in many ways over the years; we now offer framed, semi-frameless, and completely frameless options in a variety of metal colors and glass patterns. We have a full showroom where it's easy to look at the many options available. Give us a call or stop by to see what we can do for you!

The Chiefs Crush the Jaguars

Bell Mirror & Glass, Inc.

The Kansas City Chiefs looked great in their NFL Week 1 opening game against the Jacksonville Jaguars.  Alex Smith back in the starting Quarterback position lead the Chiefs to a 28-2 victory, throwing for 173 yards and two early touchdowns.  Smith was helped by the defense's pure domination of the Jacksonville offense, not letting up a single point.  The only negative part of the day was Jamaal Charles leaving the game with a quadriceps injury, after rushing for 77 yards and a touchdown.  For more information on all the week 1 games please visit http://goo.gl/7xxKlK.

Bell Mirror & Glass is rooting for the Chiefs and wishes them continued success, and invites all football fans to get a free quote on any of our services like a glass, mirror and shower enclosure estimates.

Creative Ways to Optimize Small Bathroom

Bell Mirror & Glass, Inc.
1702 S. Seneca Street, Wichita, KS 67213

Do you have a small bathroom off a hallway or even tucked under the stairs?  It may sometimes seem impossible to make it cozy and inviting.  Rest assured, there are many different ways to transform that small clustered bathroom into a thing of beauty.  A houzz decorating article details a few creative ways to optimize the space in a small bathroom.
  1. Invite the eye with creative paint treatments.  Bold colors are great to change the look of your bathroom, with horizontal stripes or a painted ceiling to draw the eye off the size of the room.  Paint is also a cheap and easy update to make in any room.
  2. An open shower is an idea that has been utilized by Europeans for a very long time.  With some extra waterproofing measures you can eliminate the shower door and fit a shower into the smallest of bathrooms.  It will also give you a different unique look.
  3. Installing great floor tile can shift the rooms focal pint onto the ground.  Drawing the eye to the floor takes away from the cramped space and changes the focus.
  4. Unused wall space can be taken up with built in cabinets or shelves.  This allows you to store toiletries, reading materials or anything else without taking up any floor space.
  5. Mirrors!  Adding a mirror to a small space is the oldest trick in the book, because it works!  This creates an illusion of doubling the space.  When combined with good lighting mirrors can really make a small cramped room feel much larger.
Bell Mirror & Glass can help create and install any type of mirror or custom glass for your bathroom, or any other room in your house.  Like us on Facebook for plenty of great ideas and tips for your home.
