The Kansas State Fair is Turning 100

Bell Mirror & Glass, Inc.
1702 S. Seneca Street, Wichita, KS 67213

The Kansas State Fair will be even more extravagant this year, celebrating its 100th birthday with balloons, bands, birthday cake (deep fried of course) and all of the usual entertainment.  The fair opens this Friday and runs through September 15th on the Kansas State Fairgrounds in Hutchinson.  The fair will include many birthday themed activities including free birthday cake at the opening ceremonies, fried birthday cake from the food vendors, and a birthday cake completion in the Domestic Arts building.  It will also include throwback events that have been popular at different points in the Fair's history, like an old-time bingo competition and a mincemeat pie competition.  At 3 pm on Saturday, fair officials will open a time capsule that was sealed in 1973 inside a Sergeant missile displayed near the Information Venter on Grandstand Avenue.  The Fair will continue its permanent attractions that have had people returning year after year, such as the butter sculpture, train rides, giant pumpkins, Ye Old Mill ride, pig rides & much more.  Use the guide on http://goo.gl/HXI0CP, which features a schedule and more great information to plan your 100th birthday trip to the Kansas State Fair.

I know all of us here at Bell Mirror & Glass will be going to the Kansas State Fair, tell us on Facebook or Twitter if we will see you there?
