Hosting Thanksgiving this year?  If you are, there’s no doubt that you’re not only doing lots of cooking, but you’re also cleaning and prepping your home for guests.  If there is one area of your home that needs to be spotless, it’s your bathroom.  Here are a few tips for prepping your bathroom for guests this holiday season:

  •  Make sure everything is very clean.  Your guests won’t notice a few dust bunnies under your couch, but they will notice tooth paste splatter on your bathroom mirror!

  • Stock the vanity area with amenities your guests can use to feel comfortable.  These items can include anything from cotton balls to razors to a spare toothbrush.

  • Put a vase of fresh flowers in your bathroom to brighten up the space.  Not only will it look beautiful, but it will also give off a beautiful aroma.

  • Switch out worn or dirty shower curtains and liners and replace old bathmats with something new and plush.
  • Display colorful and good quality hand towels and bath towels.

  • Add “spa items” to your bathroom to spruce up its look.  This can include anything from loofahs, bath salts to inexpensive soaps and candles to create an ambiance.

  • Provide a hamper your used bath towels and linens that your guests can use.

  • Make sure all your bathroom fixtures are working and in good shape for your guests.  Also make sure that your plumbing is in working condition to avoid embarrassing scenarios.

No one can deny that Custom Glass Shower Doors are beautiful.  Not only do they add to the ambiance of your bathroom; but they also create a sleek look that's sure to impress all of your guests.  You've no doubt put a lot of thought into the creation of your custom bathroom, so we know you understand how important proper care is in order to preserve its quality.

Cleaning Glass Shower doors can be a downright annoying experience.  But it doesn’t have to be!  We've compiled some of the best Shower Door care tips out there to get the job done.  Whether it's day to day upkeep or if your doors are in need of a deep clean, we're here to help.
  • Proactively, always turn on the air vent in your bathroom post shower.  This will help control the humidity in the room which can create a buildup on your shower doors.
  • Always wipe down wet shower doors.  Bell Mirror and Glass recommends using a squeegee daily.  We also recommend that you use liquid soap, as bar soaps tend to be made up on ingredients that are very difficult to clean off of your shower door.
  • Green Clean!  Mix a combination of White Vinegar, Dish Soap, Lemon Juice and Baking Soda together.  Scrub your Shower Doors lightly to remove hard water and soap scum.  Leave mixture on doors for 5-10 minutes.  Rinse with hot water.
  • Have an excessive amount of buildup on your shower doors?  Trust Bell & Mirror Glass Professional Glass Cleaner.  It's our very own professional strength glass cleaner.  It creates no ammonia, and doesn't streak or leave film on your glass.

Decorate Your Home For Halloween

Bell Mirror & Glass, Inc.

If you like to be artistic and express yourself, Halloween can be the perfect time.  It can be a lot of fun to get into the Halloween spirit and decorate your property for your favorite scary holiday.  Creating an entire spooky scene in front and on your home can be fun and easy if you know what to do.  The right decorations will take a quick trip to the story and making the most of what you already have.
You can start your decorations on the front lawn, likely the first thing people will see when they approach your house for a trick-or-treat.  You can use what is already all around you to begin, leaves!  The more crunchy brown leaves the better, you can make a pile and have some boots coming out from under.  You can cover your trees, bushes and the whole front of your home in cheep cotton spider webs.  You can then move on to your front porch or steps, adding some more spider webs and a few cheap decorations.  Make a tradition out of carving pumpkins.  Adding some fog light that point toward your home and a fog machine can really up the scare factor.  The more creative you are willing to be the better your house can look for Halloween.  For a complete list of decorations, instructions and helpful pictures please visit http://goo.gl/GGPrAA.

Bell Mirror & Glass wishes everyone a happy and safe Halloween!
