- Invite the eye with creative paint treatments. Bold colors are great to change the look of your bathroom, with horizontal stripes or a painted ceiling to draw the eye off the size of the room. Paint is also a cheap and easy update to make in any room.
- An open shower is an idea that has been utilized by Europeans for a very long time. With some extra waterproofing measures you can eliminate the shower door and fit a shower into the smallest of bathrooms. It will also give you a different unique look.
- Installing great floor tile can shift the rooms focal pint onto the ground. Drawing the eye to the floor takes away from the cramped space and changes the focus.
- Unused wall space can be taken up with built in cabinets or shelves. This allows you to store toiletries, reading materials or anything else without taking up any floor space.
- Mirrors! Adding a mirror to a small space is the oldest trick in the book, because it works! This creates an illusion of doubling the space. When combined with good lighting mirrors can really make a small cramped room feel much larger.
